Olive came to me after being hit by a car, seized by the shelter for animal abuse and then experiencing the final hours in the euthanasia room. She was terrified and in pain! All she wanted to do was to be in a separate room from all the rest. So, I separated her from all the others in a room where she would feel safe, put on cat TV music 24/7, and sat with her on the other side of the room for hours every night for 4 months. After going through surgery for a torn ACL, infection on her mouth resulting from heartless beatings and no previous care to her injuries, she has now fully recovered physically. Her gait is good, and I can’t even see the scars on her face from the beatings anymore. She has started to gain confidence. She even allows the other cats to share “her” room; however, she still does not seem to want to play with them. She roams around the house outside of her safe room more than hiding there. It’s really a miracle how far she has come. I would love to see Olive spend the rest of her days as the sole fur baby in a family who will give her the attention and love she so deeply desires. This beautiful cat had surgery on 12-14-2023 to resolve her injuries of a Torn ACL causing difficulty walking, infected injury to her nose, and torn lip on the right side. On 2-7-2024 she was Spayed. She has since recovered very nicely and is ready for Adoption.
Torn ACL causing difficulty walking, infected injury to her nose, and torn lip on the right side. Just had surgery about 12/14/2023 to resolve and will need full recovery before we can send her to a new home.
