Marcel is a domestic rabbit, the domesticated form of the European rabbit, a member of the lagomorph order. A male rabbit like Marcel is known as a buck, a female as a doe, and a young rabbit as a kit. Bunnies are almost as smart as dogs and can be house trained. Bunnies can live as long as ten years. Some breeds provide a beautiful woolly fur used to knit a soft fabric called Angora Wool and bunny droppings are full of nitrogen and can be added to your rose garden. Watch them bloom!
At first, De’Ann thought a bunny might be a difficult pet to keep inside her home, but she was soon very pleasantly surprised. After the little bunny was found De’Ann had Marcel all checked out by her Veterinarian and then welcomed the little guy into his new space. Marcel was surprisingly easy to potty train, so he was allowed access to most of the home. De’Ann protected cables and cords around the home until she was sure Marcel knew better about what he was allowed to chew on, but he did learn. In fact, Marcel is a complete joy to have around the house! So much so, De’Ann took in another companion bunny and wants to remind all pet lovers that puppies and kittens are not the only great house pets that may need furever homes! Adopt a Bunny!
Hello Future Pet Owners!
I am Marcel! I’m lucky I found a new home. I’m so happy I was Adopted so easily. Sometimes it takes a Rescue Pet a very long time to find a new home. Those are the
furry friends I worry about the most. Please review all the Rescue Pets and see if
you can find it in your heart to either take one home through Adoption or Fostering. You can also Volunteer your time or Donate. Please follow the links online to Apply and Donate. We need your help. Thank you!
