Periwinkle came into the shelter in very poor condition and with no identification. Periwinkle is a sweet, friendly girl who will make biscuits, but she cannot use her hind legs.

Periwinkle’s hind legs are rigid but do have pain response. No fractures are noted but there could possibly be spinal injury. She did not move overnight last night, did not eat, and urinated where she was laying down. She was taken to the Veterinary hospital where they went right to work to save her.

Update:  I’m so sad to report that the vet informed me that Periwinkle passed. The vet believes she had internal organ damage greater than what the initial vet reports reflected. Periwinkle had a cute collar on, so she was someone’s special girl.  This is heartbreaking.
