Platinum arrived at FURPA, Inc. as a kitten and was in fairly good health but needed treatment for URI. She did well on the treatment and appeared to be a healthy, growing kitten until her health began to rapidly decline.
Platinum had Feline panleukopenia (FPV), also known as feline distemper, which is a highly contagious and potentially fatal disease that affects cats. It’s caused by the feline panleukopenia virus, which attacks rapidly dividing cells in the body, such as those in the bone marrow, lymph nodes, intestines, and developing fetuses. Platinum wasn’t vaccinated when infected because she was previously sick with and being treated for URI when taken in for vaccinations. At FURPA we do everything we can to save these lives, and to do that, we depend entirely on the kindness and generous donations of people like you. We are praying that Platinum will pull through. |
